The MINAGRIS project will assess the impact of plastic debris in agricultural soils on biodiversity,

plant productivity and ecosystem services and their transport and degradation in the environment.

We will provide tools and recommendations for sustainable use of plastic in agriculture at the farm

and field levels for ensuring safe and economically viable food systems in Europe.

MINAGRIS aims to contribute to healthy soils in Europe by providing a deeper understanding and tools to assess the impact of microplastics and nanoplastics in agricultural soil health.

New infographic presents different sources and pathways of micro- and nano-plastics in soil

MIN Infographic SoilHealth v009 HD SPOTTERON

Our new infographic, designed by Spotteron for the MINAGRIS project, presents many different sources and pathways of micro- and nano-plastics in soil ecosystems. These pathways are based on a scientific publication from the MINAGRIS team: Micro- and nanoplastics in soil: Linking sources to damage on soil ecosystem services in life cycle assessment. Please check out this paper if you would like further detail around the different ways in which plastics move through soils.
