PAPILLONS is the sister project of MINAGRIS. 20 universities and research institutions from 12 countries will jointly investigate the sustainability of plastic use in European agriculture. The focus is on the input of plastic particles and chemical additives into arable land, and their possible ecological and socio-economic effects.
PAPILLONS, an EU-funded project, is the sister project to MINAGRIS. The two projects share several synergies as both are investigating, from different angles, the impacts of agricultural plastics on the environment.
The mission of PAPILLONS is to deliver knowledge and help farmers, industries, regulators and policy makers to introduce practices, products and instruments that guarantee the safe use of agricultural plastics and promote the sustainability of farming systems.
